Nos on drifters ? Wel not a usual idea but adding some extra punch when going out of curves might score some extra points on smoking the tires. NOS is basically oxygen added to the engine and thus more fuel can get burned a higher combustion output is achieved and that is transformed into power. An idea to through outhere, although with turbos around this might be useless.

If nitrous was used on a drift car it would have to be tuned to help a turbo spool up or to help the torque in the lower part of the power band. A shot of nitrous while in the middle of a drift will more than likely upset the balance between steering angle and throttle control and would more than likely send you into a spin out every time.
I don’t think nitrous would be useless in a drifting application if used correctly. Turbos need a bit of time to spool up and if you where to use a nicely tuned shot of nitrous to shorten that spool time then you might have something there. After all, torque is a bit more important than top end speed in drifting.
